What is IMPACT-AD LATAM?
IMPACT-AD LATAM is designed as a comprehensive and interactive training course for investigators and site personnel across Latin America who are interested in establishing, strengthening, and sustaining Alzheimer's disease and related dementias clinical trials.
Building on the successful IMPACT-AD model, the curriculum has been adapted to regional needs, with a deliberate emphasis on operational readiness, site-level implementation, and participant-centered trial practices. The course will be delivered as an intensive, in-person program spanning three full days.
Faculty will include international and regional partners with recognized expertise in ADRD science, trial operations, ethics, biostatistics, and clinical research implementation. Instruction will be conducted bilingually in Spanish and English to maximize accessibility and support meaningful participation across the region.

The program will take place in Mexico in March 2027.

Frequently Asked Questions
Applicants will be evaluated based on their commitment to ADRD research, alignment with regional clinical trial development goals, and potential to strengthen local trial capacity.
Applicants should be proficient in English, as most training sessions will be delivered in English.
Priority will be given to:
- Site-level teams submitting joint applications, pairing a prospective site PI with coordinators and/or other site staff.
- Early- to mid-career investigators motivated to pursue leadership roles in ADRD clinical trials.
- Trial-related personnel, including coordinators, sub-investigators, research nurses, or other professionals currently involved in or preparing for clinical trial roles.
Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee of regional and international faculty.
